Okay kids. The time has come where New York's favorite groundhog, Staten Island Chuck, tells us if it'll be a short winter or another six weeks until Spring. This time last year we were begging Chuck for a break but judging from this past week, Winter 2012 in NYC hasn't been too bad with today's weather hitting 62° and sunny.
Make it an early day and head over to the Staten Island Zoo tomorrow, February 2nd, where onlookers eagerly anticipate Chuck's prediction for the year. Doors open at 6:30am. There will be music playing and you'll get to meet the man of the hour, Chuck! The event is free and the Staten Island Zoo is even offering Breakfast with Chuck at $5 for children and $10 for adults. Pre-registration is recommended for breakfast so please make sure to call (718) 442-3101 ext 14 for reservations. Take advantage of the cool winter weather and make it a day at the Staten Island Zoo.
